This book deals with the story of two sisters: Samantha and Charlotte and the bond they had shared before a horrible incident that scattered their lives and destroyed their whole family. Even though they had moved on with their own lives, the incident had been haunting them forever. After twenty-eight years, as another incident forces them to bond and work together....
This is a small synopsis that i can give for this book, but it is so complex and is twisted.I can for sure say that this was one of the best books I have read in this year. It had everything I could hope for, its an extreme psychological thriller that will make you feel sick at times but believe me its worth the read and possibly re-read. It deals with the twisted minds of humans and how even a good person can turn bad given the circumstances. It deals with family bonds and the working of human mind deeply. The author is simply a genius to make use of these two simple concepts and have woven a really complex and intriguing story. There are many plot twists as well as anti-climax , but everything is perfect for this book as everything has a place and meaning.
This book will make you want to cry, to become sick as well as scared, but this is where it becomes a true masterpiece.
I will be reading more books by Karin Slaughter....
