THE MURDER OF ROGER ACKROYD

The Murder of Roger Ackroyd......

This one work alone can be seen as a masterpiece by Agatha Christie, although all her Poirot mysteries are masterpieces to me. Agatha is one of the most consistent and truly admirable authors who knows how to work or rather turn human minds to see exactly what she wants us to see.

So for this book, the plot was solid, the characters were exceptional and the method and order in which the story progressed was simple and misleading. As usual I was a mere mortal and was not even able to keep track of the twists and turns in the story.....but in the end the way Poirot explained everything made sense and made me realize how easy it would have for her (Agatha) execute the perfect crime, with no one to catch her. I loved each and every part of this book and made me fall in love with Hercule Poirot again. No matter how many times I would re-read it I am sure I will love it.

In one sentence....."A simple and devious masterpiece by Agatha".
