THE DISAPPEARANCE OF SALLY SEQUEIRA

Image
The Disappearance of Sally Sequeira.......... Truly amazing mystery that will keep you on the edge of your seats for sure..... This book was a short and amazing mystery that i truly and fully loved. The unexpected twists and turns and the great reveal...its an age old phenomenon which i will never get bored of. The plot is well thought off and the characters are truly humane with many flaws and secrets to keep. It was like reading an Agatha Christie novel for me. This is the highest credit yo get, as for me murder mystery means only one : Agatha. Really enjoyed this book and is looking forward for more of the author's works.

THE COUPLE NEXT DOOR.....

Image
The Couple Next Door........ The book deals with the dilemma Marco and his wife Anne faces when their sweet little baby Cora goes missing, while they were with their next door neighbors. What seems like a simple kidnapping turns out to be the craziest roller coaster ride for the family. This book will make you think, what you would do if you are placed in the same situation. It will doubt all that we know about life and furthermore it will open up already closed up wounds and will make you doubt even your loved ones. This book was totally awesome, the author is a pure genius who knows exactly how human mind will works and explores deeply into families and the ties we share with all we trust. It shows us exactly how cunning and cold blooded humans can be and to what extreme we would go to protect our families from all evils. It deals with the trust between family members, the ties we share with them, and how easily these ties can be broken under pressure. This was my first book from Shar

THE SURGEON

The Surgeon..... This book, no the author itself was a late find for me. Tess Gerritsen is now one of my favorite authors, who captivated me with her first novel itself. This book explores the brutal reality around us, the actual blood lust and how women are hunted. The book is well written and reveals like a TV show. There were times when I actually kept the book away because of the gruesome details that I just pictured in my head, but that I believe is the victory of psychological thriller. The book also shows us the way the mind of a psycho works, although only the thoughts could have been more, it felt like watching a movie, fast paced and thrilling. The sheer brilliance of the book lies in the way the story got connected and the way it lead to the most breath-taking climax. It kept me on my seat the whole time I read the book. This book is definitely one of my favorites, as I loved all the characters and the flow of the plot. But the main reason for my admiration is for how much t

THE GIRL WHO PLAYED WITH FIRE

Image
The Girl Who Played with Fire...... This book is the second one in my favorite trilogy...Millennium trilogy. This follows up with the story of Salander and Blomkvist, it deals with half of the loose end that the first book left when it ended. But I know that there are more to follow in the next book as many loose ends are still there in this book. However this book deals with a complex and twisted plot that kept me wake for all these days. First I thought this was a straight forward plot, but then it went out of control, it was crazy and fast paced. The book showed us a main part of Salander's life, many of her secrets was revealed but at the same time new characters and new mysteries was introduced. I was hoping that Salander-Blomkvist to be back together, but I got more than that, they became friends again and hopefully will get back together in the next book. Stieg Larsson is the most talented thriller writer i have ever read, he knows how to make a really complex plot and how t

THE MURDER OF ROGER ACKROYD

Image
The Murder of Roger Ackroyd...... This one work alone can be seen as a masterpiece by Agatha Christie, although all her Poirot mysteries are masterpieces to me. Agatha is one of the most consistent and truly admirable authors who knows how to work or rather turn human minds to see exactly what she wants us to see. So for this book, the plot was solid, the characters were exceptional and the method and order in which the story progressed was simple and misleading. As usual I was a mere mortal and was not even able to keep track of the twists and turns in the story.....but in the end the way Poirot explained everything made sense and made me realize how easy it would have for her (Agatha) execute the perfect crime, with no one to catch her. I loved each and every part of this book and made me fall in love with Hercule Poirot again. No matter how many times I would re-read it I am sure I will love it.

THE KIND WORTH KILLING......

Image
The Kind Worth Killing....... This book had everything i could ever want from a crime thriller. It had the best characters and plot twists i never even saw coming. It totally satisfied my hunger for a fast-paced psychological thriller. The book is well developed in terms of both its character building as well as the plot. It made me root for the killer and to be frank its the first time it has happened. Lily has become a dear character to me, she was strong, independent and bold. I am sure we all must have felt at some point, to kill someone for what they did to us, well Lily felt that and she did it without any remorse. She had her own reasoning for it and I totally agreed with her for the decisions she had taken. The ending of the book also has a surprising plot twist that will keep you in awe. The whole book is a single read, even though it took me 3 days, because I am sure you will not be able to keep this book down. The narrative from different character's perspective is simpl
